Relative efficiency of indigenous and exotic organic foliar amendments on growth of wheat crop

Field study was conducted to investigate the effect of indigenous and exotic bio nutrients on the growth of wheat (Triticum oestivum L.).The experiment was laid out in RCBD with seven treatments and three replication in field on Sahar 2006. Three levels (0, 1.5 and 3 %) of foliar exotic and indigenous organic amendments were used for plant growth response. Treatment used were as; T1 (Control i.e. Recommended dose of NPK); T2 (T1 +1.5 % Energizer); T3 (T1 + 3 % Energizer); T4 (T1 + 1.5 % Keplex); T5 (T1 + 3 % Keplex); T6 (T1 + 1.5 % Seuzex) and T7 (T1 + 3 Seuzex). Results indicated significant (P less than 0.05) increased in wheat grain yield, chlorophyll content in the flag leaf and plant biomass of treated plants. Foliar application of both exotic and indigenous organic nutrients at medium and high levels found to be significantly (P less than 0.05) effective in enhancing grain yield and yield components which leads into increased in production. Application of both exotic and indigenous bio nutrition products found to be non significant in enhancement of plant height.
