Centric diatom genera Guinardia H. Peragallo and Dactyliosolen castracane from the north Arabian sea bordering Pakistan

Two genera including six species of marine centric diatoms according to new nomenclatural combinations are hereby described from the north Arabian Sea neritic waters of Pakistan. Their distribution in both Indus Delta and Balochistan shelves has also been studied. Guinardia flaccida (Castracane) H. Peragallo occurred more frequently on the shelf than any other species, whereas Guinardia delicatula (Cleve) Hasle was recorded exclusively from Indus Delta shelf.
