Comparative morpho-anatomy of five species of Spatoglossum (Dictyotales) from Karachi coast

As a result of survey during March 2007 and May 2010, five species of Spatoglossum Kutzing (Phaeophycota) were collected from the coastal areas of Karachi, Pakistan. They were investigated in detail for their morphology, anatomy and reproduction. Anatomically, different parts of their thalli were studied and compared with all the species among themselves. Two recently reported species from the coast of Pakistan are also taxonomically described here.
