russe. В статье рассмотрены методические подходы к экономико-математическому моделированию развития средних городов и сельских поселений. Обоснованы целесообразность моделирования на основе двухуровневого подхода, включающего построение когнитивных карт, позволяющих учитывать и выявлять сложно формализуемые факторы, с последующим построением аналитической модели.

The expediency of modeling on the basis of two-level approach is proved and includes the creation of cognitive maps allowing considering and revealing difficult formalizable factors, with the subsequent creation of analytical model.
