Proposal of collector surface for heating-up water in the canteen of the TU in Zvolen

This paper deals with designing of a large-scale solar thermal system for heating-up water in climatic condition within the Zvolen location. The study also analysed consumption of hot water within the canteen of the Technical University in Zvolen and determination of collector surface as well as a number of solar collectors needed for heating-up water. This design carried out by the simulation programme T*SOL Expert 4.5 at the Co THERMO|SOLAR Ziar Ltd. and also by calculation as recommended within available literature and references.
