In order to study on effects of 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) at 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 2 mg/l and coconut water at 100, 200 and 300 ml/l for multiple shoot induction of Hygrochilus parishii were conducted. Protocorms were cultured on solid modified Vacin and Went medium (1949)(VW) which contained 10 g/l sugar. After 10 weeks of culture the results showed that protocorms were cultured on solid modified VW which contained BA at 1 mg/l that provided the highest of shoot number and fresh weight. There were no significant difference in concentration of BA at 0.5, 1 and 2 mg/l. The highest of protocorms diameter and fresh weight were found in 0.5 mg/l BA. In the other hand, coconut water affected protocorm, i.e. the percentage of protocorms death increased with increasing in concentration of coconut water. Therefore, coconut water at 100-300 ml/l did not suitable for multiple shoot induction in Hygrochilus pawishii.
