ONTOLOGY OF PROCESSES: A FEW WORDS ON TAOISM
2014
Danylova T.
This paper aims to study the concepts of Qi and Tao in the context of Taoist philosophical tradition. Taoist thinkers interpreted existence as a continuous process. They considered complementary forces to be the source of movement. This process can be described as a cyclical: rise and decline, condensation and rarefaction, life and death. Everything that exists is a continuum. Every aspect of this continuum is in the process of transformation and is determined by its own momentum and peculiar conditions. The source of changes is not an external force but a tendency for transformation inherent in Universe.
