Получение полноценных качественных регенерантов является важным этапом микроклонального размножения растений. В опытах с клевером луговым (Trifolium pratense L.) установлено, что оптимальным местом отчленения экспланта от проростка является участок гипокотиле, удалённый от «семядольного узла» на 0,2—1,0 мм. В этом случае значительно увеличивается выход регенерантов, пригодных для последующего пассажа, сокращается время регенерации. Данный способ получения эксплантов применим и для других бобовых культур, однако питательные среды должны подбираться в зависимости от вида растения.
