Trophic specialization of cicadas of Belarus

Determination of trophic specialization of phytophagans along with evaluation of peculiarities of fauna structure according to feeding preferences appears one of the most important directions of the analysis of regional ecosystem functioning, which supposes forecasting of future anthropogenic influence on environment. Cicadas represent one of the most convenient for investigation groups of insects, able to present the characteristic of trophic structure of fauna. The article presents identification of trophic groups of cicadas on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The oligophages scale is proposed to be set strictly according the taxonomic affiliation of forage plants. Polyphages’ groups have been also ranked according to particular life form of a forage plant. In accordance to the proposed approach all 417 cicada’s species registered in the Republic of Belarus have been classified among the trophic groups. The predominance of oligophages which comprise 4/5 of all registered in Belarus species has been shown.

Градацию олигофагов предлагается проводить строго с учетом таксономической принадлежности кормовых растений. Группы полифагов ранжируются в том числе с учетом принадлежности кормового растения к той или иной жизненной форме. С учетом предложенного подхода все 417 отмеченных в Беларуси видов цикадовых распределены по трофическим группам. Показано преобладание группы олигофагов, к которым относится 4/5 всех отмеченных в Беларуси видов.
