Comparative characteristics of pea varieties of different morphotypes under the conditions of Belarus

In a course of the research there was studied the collection of leafless and leafy pea (Pisum) varieties by the complex of morphological and agronomic characters. The research was realized in the Republic of Belarus in 2011-2013 in a selection crop rotation of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Arable Farming, Zhodino (Belarus). As a result of realized research there were revealed physiological peculiarities of the leafless pea varieties and their possible influence on yield elements. It was established that the leafless morphotype was less resistant to moisture deficit and can lodge what complicates the harvesting of the crops very much. Linear density and the length of the stem of foliole and leafless peas varieties were presented. The number of beans on the plant of foliole and leafless peas varieties in 2011-2013 was shown.
