Application of extract of oak silkworm pupae for the prevention of oxidative stress induced by heavy metal salts in Allium cepa

anglais. Heavy metals represent one of the most toxic pollutants of biosphere, causing serious destructions of live organisms. Copper and lead salts appear toxic substances acting structural and metabolic processes of plants and causing destruction of DNA-replication, growth inhibition, photosynthesis reduction and enzymatic activity decline. Oxidative stress which develops under the influence of heavy metals’ salts (CuSO4 and Pb(NO3) on the sprouting onion (Allium cepa), leads to the activation of free radical oxidation. It causes changes in metabolism, which is manifested with the inhibition of root growth, accumulation of lipid peroxidation products and an increase of the activity of antioxidant enzymes - superoxide dismutase and glutathione reductase in leaves of Allium cepa in 9 days. Maintaining of lipid peroxidation causes further root growth inhibition. Application of extract of oak silkworm pupae for the treatment of onion’s bulbs can decline oxidative stress effect. Processing of the bulbs with salts of CuSO4 and Pb(NO3) in combination with extract of oak silkworm pupae partially prevents an increase of MDA, DK and activity of SOD and GR which leads to normalization of the roots. Extract of oak silkworm pupae due to the presence of antioxidant substances can be recommended for the protection of plants against oxidative stress caused by the action of salts of heavy metals.

russe. Окислительный стресс, развивающийся при действии растворов солей CuS04 и Pb(N03)2 на лук репчатый, приводит к активации свободнорадикального окисления. При этом происходят изменения в метаболизме, что проявляется в накоплении продуктов пероксидного окисления липидов (ПОЛ) (малонового диальдегида и диеновых конъюгатов) и увеличении активности антиоксидантных ферментов (супероксиддисмутазы и глутатионредуктазы) в листьях А сера через 9 сут. Сохранение активированного ПОЛ состояния сопряжено с угнетением роста корней. Обработка луковиц солями CuS04 и Pb(N03)2 в сочетании с экстрактом куколок дубового шелкопряда (ЭКДШ) частично препятствует увеличению показателей ПОЛ и активности ферментов, что ведет к нормализации развития корней. В этом заключаются протекторные свойства ЭКДШ по отношению к инициации и развитию окислительного стресса у Allium сера, вызванного обработкой луковиц растворами CuS04 и Pb(N03)2. ЭКДШ благодаря наличию в составе антиоксидантов может применяться для защиты растений от развития окислительного стресса, вызванного действием солей тяжелых металлов.
