anglais. In a course of the research there were studied major trends that characterize the current state of global markets and the Belarusian meat. Trends and market prospects are considered in the context of the main elements (production, consumption, trade, prices). Analysis of the Belarusian market held with a focus on the strengths and weaknesses of the need for further development of recommendations to improve the efficiency of its operation and international competitiveness. In the short term, despite the still sufficient level of consumption, a very small increase in imports is forecasted in a number of countries. Compared with other species, meat remains one of the most expensive types of food. In most countries meat production is oriented to the domestic market. The world structure of production of meat by types is steadily changing aside the proportion of cheap types of meat. It is predicted that in the short term pork, the most popular meat, will give way to poultry meat. In the Republic of Belarus, the meat market is the most important component of the food market. In general, the Belarusian meat market is characterized by positive trends in the increase in livestock and poultry production, the volume of production of industrial products, the expansion of its range, which most directly affects the level of meat consumption by the population.

Направления и перспективы развития рынка рассмотрены в разрезе основных элементов (производство, потребление, торговля, цены). Анализ белорусского рынка проведен с акцентом на слабые и сильные стороны развития, что необходимо для дальнейшей разработки рекомендаций по повышению эффективности его функционирования и международной конкурентоспособности. В ближайшей перспективе несмотря на еще достаточный уровень потребления в ряде стран прогнозируется самый незначительный рост импорта. По сравнению с друг видами мясо остается одним из самых дорогих видов продовольствия. В большинстве государств производство мяса ориентировано на внутренний рынок. Мировая структура производства мяса по видам неуклонно изменяется в сторону увеличен удельного веса дешевых видов мяса. Прогнозируется, что в ближайшей перспективе свинина, самое популярное мясо, уступит свои позиции мясу птицы. В Республике Беларусь рынок мяса - это важнейшая составляющая продовольственного рынка. В целом белорусский рынок мяса характеризуется положительными тенденциями увеличения производства скота и птицы, объемов выработки промышленной продукции, расширения ее ассортимента, что самым непосредственным образом отражается на уровне потребления мяса населением.
