Evaluation of intense sweeteners contents in table-top sweeteners

inconnu. The aim of this study was the determination of intense sweeteners - aspartame, sodium saccharin and cyclamic acid contents in table-top sweeteners. In the study the high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detector technique was used. The study included 13 table sweetener products, sweetened with aspartame or cyclamates with saccharin.Evaluated maximum levels of percent ADIs assessed for sweeteners containing aspartame, as well as for tablets with sodium saccharin, indicate that their average intakes are below the relevant levels. The risk to the health of the average consumer is concerned with intake of ADI for cyclamates, foradult with intake of 14 tablets and for children with intake of 6 tablets of table-top sweetener daily.
