Research, selection and testing some tomato hybrid combinations in winter and spring in red river delta

Basic testing of 8 tomato hybrid combinations are selected from outstanding garden of 36 new hybrid combinations in 2013 at the Field Crops Research Institute. The result, VT4 has infinite growth form, 138.20 cm plant height, growth duration ranged 130-140 days. 7 hybrid combinations remains have semi-limited growth, the plant height from 86.30 to 98.94 cm, 120-125 days growth period. VT5 yields 47.17 tons / ha (spring-summer) and 64.21 tonnes / ha (for autumn and winter ), reaching the highest standards. Standard heterosis 5.59% (compare with VT3) and 7.45 % (compare with Savior). Hybrid combinations VT10 yields 60.04 tons/ha (in early winter) and 78.76 tonnes/ ha (winter). Standard heterosis 51.26% (VT3) and 16.29% (Savior).
