This study was developed with data of permanent plots of teak (Tectona grandis) implanted in Alta Floresta - Mato Grosso, Brazil. The aim of this study was to estimate the volumetric production, establishing site index, determine the technical age of cut and make simulation of thinnings. Five volumetric models were adjusted to select the most appropriate for the stand. The site quality classification was made using the method of guide-curve. The Clutter model was adjusted to obtain yield table with variable density and simulation of thinnings with removal of 35% and 50% of basal area. The adjustments made to the model of classification of productive capacity and growth and production presented good adjustments and results compatible. The settlement was classified in three classes of site (S = 12, S = 14.5 and S = 16). The technical age of first thinning was established to 42 months for the sites and 16 14.5 and 54 months for the site 12. The thinning simulations indicated, for all sites, that when the intensity of removal is lower (35%), the thinning occurs earlier when compared with a higher intensity of removal of basal area (50%).
