Parvovirosis is very common, viral disease of dogs. Most common clinical sign is diarrhea followed by changes in hematologic and biochemical parameters. The aim of this examination is to show biochemical and hematologic changes in dogs with Parvovirosis. Experiment included 7 dogs. Results have showed that in 6 (85,7%) dogs with Parvovirus sevare leucopenia existed, while in 1 (14,3%) leucocytosis was founded. Leukocyte histogram in Parvovirosis has showed lack of characteristic spikes and it is represented with flat line because of reduction of all leukocyte families. Blood smears on a small magnification have showed leucocyte depletion, with leucocytes that show signs of apoptosis and necrosis with hypersegmentation of nucleus, degeneration of cells membranes with overflowing cytoplasmatic content. In spots where groups of leukocytes were founded great number of cells were unrecognizable. Biochemical profile have showed increased levels of hepatic enzymes and total bilirubin (71,4%), reduced levels of proteins (57,2%), and reduced levels of cholesterol, HDL and LDL lipoproteins (71,4%). Dog that showed leucocytosis healed faster compared the ones with leucopenia. Laboratory findings are related to acute phase of inflammation in dogs with Parvovirosis.
