The results of two-year experiments established at two localities Rimski Šančevi and Kumane, on two different soil types - chernozem and solonetz, are hereby reported. Three wheat varieties were examined: NSR-5, Pesma and Renesansa, and the following grain yield components were analyzed: plant height, spike weight, grain weight per spike and grain number per spike. A broad variability was observed for all the examined traits, while the higher mean values were denoted for chernozem. Statistically significant and highly significant correlations were calculated. The variety Renesansa distinguished itself as the genotype that responded the best to agro-ecological conditions variation
