Sunflower meal is a by-product in the sunflower oil production process. Sunflower meal consisting of sunflower kernel and the hull, and is mostly used as a relatively inexpensive protein feedstuff in the production of animal feed. The high content of crude fiber is limiting factor for the use of sunflower meal in the diets for monogastric animals. the aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of using the ine milling and classification process to obtain high-protein sunflower meal. Significant increase in the protein content was achieved. Economic calculations are needed in order to examine the justification of investments.
