The determination of some important argonomical and quality properties of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr] varieties in double cropped conditions

The objective of this study was to determine important agronomical and quality properties of some soybean varieties which can be grown in Çukurova region as a double crop in 2013 and 2014. 14 soybean varieties such as Nova, May 53-12, İlksoy, Arısoy, Atakişi, Atem-7, Umut-2002, Cinsoy, Sa.88, S.4240, Türksoy, Adasoy, Blaze ve Ha.16-21 belonging to different maturity group were used in this study. The experimental design was a Randomized Complete Block with three replications. The agronomical characteristics such as plant height, branch number, the lowest pod height, pod number, 100 seeds weight, seed yield, oil content and protein content were investigated. According to a two-year average, the highest seed yield was obtained from Arısoy (466.7 kg/da) and Atakişi (466.2 kg/da) varieties. The oil and protein content of varieties were varied between %17.11-19.37 and %36.52-38.46 respectively.
