The products produced in Imereti region are in demand on the market

Business development mainly depends on the actual demand for the manufactured goods on the market. In recent years, an increasing demand for domestic products is observable, which in some cases even exceeds the supply. In 2018, within the framework of Internal Faculty Grant Project in Akaki Tsereteli State University, a research of business in Imereti region for searching the ways of its development potential was carried out. The research aimed at assessing how much foodstuffs produced in Imereti region were used by Kutaisi hotels. In order to find it out, the samples of the food produced in Imereti Region were studied first and then offered to the hotels for their food services. The following methods were used in this study: a field study, a desk study, which was based on complex, interdisciplinary approaches, analysis and synthesis. The joint use of these studies has enabled to get more comprehensive information, to find ways for solving the existing problems, and to work out recommendations, the implementation of which would assist the region's enterprises to progress in the future. The study showed that the entrepreneurs were ready to provide the hotels with food at desired prices provided they had a trustworthy guarantee of cooperation. In conclusion, it can be said that the Imereti region, as well as the whole Georgia, has good prospects for business development. The foodstuffs produced here are in demand of customers; frequently, the demand exceeds the supply.
