Collaborating for resilience; the DRR Net [Disaster Risk Reduction Network Philippines] experience
2017
Berse, K.B.
Civil society has always been part of disaster risk reduction efforts in the Philippines. Over the years, civil society organizations (CSOs) have bonded together to form a unified front as they become formal partners of the government in strengthening community resilience. This study looks into the resilience of such CSO networks from a network governance perspective. Specifically, it analyzes the leadership, management, and structure of Disaster Risk Reduction Network Philippines (DRRNetPhils), arguably the country's most active CSO network involved in disaster risk management. Data will be collected through key informant interviews and review of network documents. By and large, the study hopes to shed light on how national inter-organizational networks can function as a resilient organization.
