The project focused on the development of a passive aeration system for pond aquaculture .The project plan had three main themes of activities: The first activity focused on the technical development of the device. The second activity focused on the field testing of the device, with 60 devices rolled out in three phases to fish farmers. An increase in the pond yields was observed. The final activity focused on business development, which won the Aquaculture Innovation Challenge, which took place in Jakarta. During the event, commercial partners showed interest completing a trial of the technology and are a potential pathway for taking the technology forward. This brief highlights the major project achievements in line with the FISH Research Program strategic goals and indicators. The brief was produced taking as reference the technical report of the project submitted to the donor for the specified reporting period.
