Biochemical characteristics of roach and bream under the present environmental conditions of Volga-Caspian basin was made. The present paper deals with the dynamics of lipid and protein content in muscles and gonads of roach and bream during various periods of annual cycle. Comparison of the received results of researches with available literary data on these parameters of the last years was made
