Metals play key roles in human health and the most important is that theyparticipate in the catalysis of biochemical processes. Mushroom is considered ashealthy food containing considerable amounts of nutrients, especially macro andmicroelements. The aim of this study was to determine the amounts of essentialelements (Fe, Mn Cu, Zn, and Se) in two species of wild-grown common ediblemushrooms from family Tricholomataceae (Clitocybe nuda and Clitocybe odora). Themeasurements of metals were performed using an inductively coupled plasma massspectrometer (ICP-MS), after microwave digestion. The results indicate that theanalyzed wild mushroom species possess the level of selected essential elementswithin accepted limmits, except for copper that has more than what is considered tobe acceptable.
