The presence of residues of chemical substances in wildlife tissue is often taken as a parameter for anthropogenic influence of intensive crop farming to the environment. In this study the bio-monitor was brown hare (Lepus europaeus), whose habitat is an agrobiotop with intensive crop farming. From the several different location of Banat area fatty tissue samples has been collected. The analysis was done by method liquid chromatography - tandem mass spectrometry technique combined with electrospray ionization, LC-ESI-MS/MS, was applied for the detection of 55 active groups of pesticides in the fat tissue of brown hare. The extracts of samples were obtained using the acetonitrile-based QuEChERS preparation technique for fat samples. On the basis of analyzed samples in the territory of Banat, it was found that at most sites the presence of active groups of pesticides in „safe” levels. In the samples of 43 individuals, at least one active group of pesticides was detected in 22 individuals, whereas in 21 individuals there was no detectable presence of any of the 55 active pesticide groups analyzed. All detected level of pesticide in brown hare tissue was in range between 0.001-0.05 ppm. Except for the territories of the Kumane site, which had an extremely high value of Phenoxycarbe (Fenoxycarb) of 0.2208 ppm.
