Interactive effects of rhizobacteria and phosphorus, and manure on phosphates availability of carbonated chernoziom under low soil moistutre

Rhizosphere microorganisms play a vital role in the transformation of unavailable forms of phosphorus (P) into available forms which could be a biotechnological opportunity to attenuate P deficiency in plants. A pot experiment was conducted to determine the effects of rhizobacteria (Bradyrhizobium japonicum, Pseudomonas putida) alone and with phosphorus or cattle manure on availability of phosphates in carbonated chernoziom in rhizosphere soil of soybean plants subjected to water deficit. Surface sterilized seeds of soybean (cv Horboveanca) were sown in plastic pots containing 11 kg of carbonated chernoziom soil. Findings from the present study demonstrate that combined application of rhizobacteria strains had better potential to improve P availability under normal soil moisture. However, the concentration of mobile phosphates decreased after combined application of B. japonicum and P. putida of soybean grown on P-deficit soil and temporary drought. The integrated use of mineral fertilizer and rhizobacteria also increased available phosphates contents irrespective of soil moisture conditions. The application of these strains in conjunction with manure fertilization did not significantly affect this agrochemistry parameter in rhizosphere soil of soybean.
