The problems of hydrogen production and its using as an ecologically friendly energy agent are examined, specifi cally, the author’s achievements related to the biohydrogen production intensifi cation and decreasing of material and energy consumption for the agroindustrial wastes treatment by anaerobicfermentation. The original process proposed involvesthe re-directioning of methanogenesis towards theformation of hydrogen, using certain phytochemicalmicrostimulators, fumctional and energetic optimization of bioreactor and application of ecological-economic processes for biohydrogen purifi cation.
