Various strategies of salmon fishery management in the USSR and Russia, and also in the countries of Pacific Rim have been reviewed. It has been analyzed the normative-legal basis, determining the salmon fisheries in RF. Several decisions, able to provide, on the author's point of view, a substantial improvement of Pacific Salmon fishing management, have been proposed
