Bone fractures are the most common orthopedic condition in dogs. The classification offractures can be made on several basis. Among them, the joint fractures are especiallyimportant. The rule in the treatment of these fractures is that they must be treated urgently,especially in the case of a young animal, and that principles of rigid osteosynthesis must beapplied that will guarantee absolute reposition of the fragments and perfect match of thearticular structures. Only this way ensures complete restoration of function and preservationof joint mobility. In this paper we describe, a treatment of bilateral elbow joint fracture at athree months old dog. The fracture of the distal humerus on both sides was repaired usingscrews and kirchner wires. Both limb usage was observed first day postoperatively, with aslight and complete return to function in the following days.
