The aim of this study was to determine the concentrations of 8 metals in the soil and plant species Matricaria inodora L. on the site next to the road at the entrance to the city of Kragujevac. The concentration of Cr in the studied soil exceeded the prescribed maximum allowable concentration, limit and remediation values, while concentrations of Pb were above the maximum allowable concentrations and limit values in the soil according to the directives and regulations of the Republic of Serbia. Biological absorption coefficient greater than one for Zn showed root, stem, leaf and whole plant studied. Leaf of M. inodora contained the most Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn and Cr, and root accumulated the most Pb.
