This research is aimed to improve paddy culture to decrease seed usage, to ease weed controlling, to reduce disease and insect pest infestation and to reduce production cost. The rice seederin submerged paddy field using tooth belt which had dimension of belt width, pitch and tooth height of 23, 10 and 8*22*4 mm, respectively. The belt was installed at 64?66 degree plane angle and had linearvelocity of 7 m/min for seed transportation. The machine had 8 rows and each row was 25 cm apart. The capacity and efficiency test of the seeder was carried out using germinated seeds of Suphanburi 1 rice cultivar, compared with wet direct seeding. The seeder machine with the speed of 3.10 km/hour had fuel consumption rate of 0.56 l/rai and seed usage rate of 5-6 kg/rai with no damaged seeds found. The capacity and the efficiency of the seeder were 2.53 rai/hour and 91.66 percent, respectively. Drilling efficiency of the machine was 85.70 percent and the average yield was 879 kg/rai. On the other hand, the direct broadcast seeding employed 30 kg of seeds/rai and the average yield was 823 kg/rai. The seedercould decrease seed rate by more than 25 kg/rai and increase yield by 7.62 percent
