The effects on growth performance, feed efficiency and bacterial microflora at added different proportions of thyme oil (Origanum vulgare) in fry and juvenile rainbow trout

In this study, added in different proportions Origanum vulgare essential oil to feed fry and juvenil rainbow trout growth of determined effect on the growth performance, feed utilization and bacterial microflora. For this purpose, the essential oil to the experimental diets at three different concentrations (0.125, 1.5, 3.0 mg/kg) was added. Juvenile fish (26-27 kg), young fish (0.5-1.0 g) (the water temperature; 11 C, dissolved oxygen 7 ppm; and pH 7,5) were fed for 90 days.Juvenile fish in the experimental groups of except group of 0.125 mg/kg, about of compared growth and final weight gain a significant increase in the other groups from control group (p<0.05).The feed conversion rate of juvenile fish groups are1.5 and 3.0 mg/kg, the rate has increased compared to the other groups.In fry rainbow trout; groups are 1.5 and 0.125 mg/kg and 3 mg/kg about compared of growth, final weights and live weight gain rates increased from control group.Feed conversion rate of fry rainbow trout fish in the 1.5 mg/kg ratio has been found to be better than the other groups.TSA and PSA made planting medium with the bacterial load results in terms of 1.5, 3.0 and 0.125 mg / kg and there was no statistical difference between the control group (p <0.05).As a results in this study, addition of essential oil Origanum. vulgare essential oil to fish feed is determined to have a growth stimulating effected.
