Innovative anti-snow avalanche structure (Structure designing methodology, construction norms and rules).
2021
Methodology, construction norms and rules for designing innovative construction against snow avalanche were published with the support of the grant project of Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation - CARYS19-305 (Innovative Complex Measure against Snow Avalanche) and with the financing of the World Bank. Mountainous regions are essential for the sustainable development of the country, as mountain ecosystems play a crucial role in providing fresh water resources to a large part of the world's population (UNGA, 2012). 10% of the world's population is directly dependent on mountain resources. On the one hand, the mountain is an important source of water, energy, minerals, biodiversity, recreation, forest and agricultural products, on the other hand - it is a high-risk environment with vulnerable landscapes. Traditional anti-avalanche constructions proposed in the paper and their characterization; Innovative constructive solution of mountain slope avalanche regulatory building in connection with location topography; Selection of innovative structural features of avalanche building (building shape, size, height) according to sensitive areas; Selection of the number of buildings and layout scheme due to avalanche hazard in the study corridor according to the topographic characteristics of the mountain slope; Basic design parameters of avalanche innovative construction; Loads and impacts considered when calculating the structure.
