The real-time automated detection of behavior of penned animals for the purpose of improving the animal's reproductive performance requires a coupled system of an array A of video cameras Vi, V2, ,Vn located somewhere near the pen's ceiling C and an intelligent software which analyzes the video feeds fi from Vi, Ai =1,2, ,n. fi is a matrix of pixels that represent a part of the pen's floor F. To obtain a better F coverage, the location of A with respect to C is decreased while the distance di, i+1 between Vi and Vi +1, Ai = 1,2, ,n-1, is increased. The choice of di, i+1 is such that w pixel columns from the right edge of fi coincides with the w pixels columns from the left edge of fi+1. When A was moved into a tunnel-ventilated pen, the C-F is very small that even when A was attached to C, the whole F cannot be covered. To remedy this without increasing n, an array of convex filters m1, m2, ,mn was put in front of A which resulted to distort fisheye video feeds gi. This paper presents the geometric modeling of gi to approximate fi.
