The aim of this study was to analyze a) grain yield variation, b) influence of applied mineral nutrients onagronomic efficiency and yield formation, c) effect of fertilization levels on the nitrogen use efficiency, of fivewinter wheat cultivars grown on 20 treatments with different doses and combinations of nitrogen, phosphorusand potassium. This study was conducted during 2017/18 on a long-term field trial at the Institute of Field andVegetable Crops, Rimski šančevi. The fertilization treatments had significant influence on grain yield of eachwheat cultivar. The lowest yields were recorded on control treatment, treatment with K only (without N and P),followed by the combination of PK and P only treatments, indicating that nitrogen fertilization had the mostsignificant influence on yield. Averaged over cultivars, grain yield was 92% higher on treatment with 100 kg ofnitrogen, compared to the control. The highest grain yield was obtained on the N150P100K50 treatment, butthere was no significant difference compared to the other triple combinations of fertilizers with highest ormedium nitrogen doses. Nitrogen had the highest yield increase with one kilogram of nutrient used, followedby phosphorus and potassium. Cultivar NS Mila had the most positive response to the applied nutrients.Increase in N doses was followed by decrease in agronomic nitrogen utilization efficiency. Cultivars NS Milaand NS Futura had the highest agronomic nitrogen utilization efficiency, while the cultivars NS Obala and NSIlina had the lowest values.
