Supply analysis at national and regional levels and demand analysis at the national level were undertaken for rice, corn, sugar, coconut, abaca, pork, beef and chicken. The general objective of this research is to be able to come up with supply and demand elasticities from which policy implications could be derived. Such elasticities were estimated by applying the multiple regression technique using the ordinary least squares procedure. Linear and exponential forms of equation were tried. Supply response models included both the simple and the distributed lag models
