Relationship between the abundance of corn borer egg masses and larval population in the field (Philippines)

The corn borer population was relatively higher during the wet season than in the dry season. Plant oviposited was 14% with a total of 17 egg masses during the dry season and 40% plants with a total of 66 egg masses during the wet season, respectively. Frequency index for larvae was relatively high compared to egg masses
