On the attractiveness of synthetic sex pheromone to males of major insect pests

Tests were conducted in field during 1981 to 1983 at Suwon, to determine the attractiveness of synthetic sex pheromone of the diamond back moth, rice leaffolder, asian corn borer, and summer fruit tortrix. Males of each insect effectively responded to the pheromones. Pheromones of the diamond back moth, asian corn borer, and summer fruit tortrix captured an average of 98, 2.7, and 4.2 males per night, respectively. Three peaks were observed by pheromone trap of rice leaffolder
