[Rotary-harrows and power-harrows power necessity]

For a comparison of the power absorbed by rotary-harrows and power harrows, of which till now data obtained in the same working conditions do not exist,we tested two rotary harrows and three power-harrows. For the former machine a classic round small hoe pattern and a tine rotor have been selected; for the latter the tool shapes have been diversified passing from a model characterized by a triangular section to a second sloped with cilindrical section and stiffening rib and finally to a third with a sloped blade-cutter. The tool rpm's and working speed, carefully chosen, assured the best uniformity of results in regard to size reduction effect. Test results show a greater average power input of the power-harrows in comparison with the rotary harrows -about 30-45%-, as well as the uselessness of exceeding in number of tools used.Finally, the power-harrows, to assure the same reduction effect, need a rotation speed about 25% superior to the one of rotary harrows.

Per un confronto sull'assorbimento energetico delle zappatrici rotative e degli erpici rotanti, di cui finora non esistevano dati ottenuti nelle medesime condizioni operative, si sono comparate due zappatrici e tre erpici.Per le prime si sono scelti il classico modello a zapppette ricurve ed un altro a rotore a spuntoni; per gli erpici si sono variate le configurazioni degli utensili passando da un tipo a sezionetriangolare ad uno inclinato con sezione cilindrica e nervatura di rinforzo, ed infine ad un terzo a coltello a lama inclinata. La velocita di rotazione degli utensili e quella di avanzamento della trattrice sono state scelte per ottenere la migliore uniformita di risultati nellaqualita del lavoro delle macchine. I risultati ottenuti hanno evidenziato in media un maggior assorbimento degli erpici rispetto alle zappatrici-nell'ordine del 30-45%-, oltre alla inutilita di eccedere oltre un certo limite nel numero di utensili per metro di larghezza di lavoroGli erpici infine per arrivare alla stessa qualita di lavorazione richiedono un regime di rotazione di circa il 25% superiore a quello delle corrispondenti zappatrici.
