On the storage of Hypophthalmichthys molitrix milt

Results of the studies on chilled storage (4 degree C) of silver carp milt were presented. Silver carp milt diluted with Hank's balanced salt solution (1:4 by volume) significantly retained high fertility upto 144 hours. Fertility decreased to 14% after 12 days of storage. A positive correlation between sperm motility and fertility was noted.
