To draw common inference about the growth performance of 124 Friesian x Sahiwal crossbred females, viz. 3/8ths, halfbreds, 5/8ths, and 3/4ths, maintained on uniform feeding regime at 4 military farms at Ambala, Jalandhar, Meerut and Pimpri, suitable statistical analysis was carried out taking into account the complexities arising out of the non-orthogonal nature of data. The analysis of variance of the constants of the best growth curve, viz. orthogonal polynomial of second degree, showed that average growth rate and rate of change of growth both were influenced by environmental effects and not by levels of exotic blood in the crossbreds. Interaction between grades and farms was absent for growth rate and was present for rate of change of growth
