The number of effective nodules was significantly increased by CaCO3 application. Plants with 2 tns CaCO3/ha produced the most number of root nodules. The number of non-effective nodule was not significantly affected by the different treatments. Growth and yield of soybean was not affected by CaCO3 fertilization
