Energy consumption in maize cultivation with regards to three different ways of yield managing (maize production for corn, silage and dry fodder) was analysed. The results proved that the greatest energy consumption occurred when maize was produced for dry fodder (56.5%). Lower energy consumption was required to produce maize for corn (35.7%).
