Crosses performance of geese from breeding groups with some native varieties

shWhite Italian (WD-02), Cubian (KD-01) and Rhinen (Re) geese were used to form crosses. Data on egg production, egg mass, fertility and hatchability were collected for parental stock and body weight at 8, 12, 14 and 17 weeks, feed consumption, mortality up to 12 weeks and length of forearm, tarsometatarsus, keel and depth of brest muscles at 12 weeks of age for progeny. The highest fertility was noted for crosses of P-1 or Ki-1 with ReND-1 or WD-02Re. The highest body weight was revealed in crosses WD-02'Wd-02Re (4390 g), ReND-2'ND-2Re (4380 g). Progeny of P-1 and Ki-1 ganders were characterized by higher carcass meat content. The highest economic efficiency indexes were found for ReND-2'ND-2Re (667), and WD-02'Wd-02Re (
