Humus, manure and the improvement of soil fertility
1986
Hulpoi, N. (Academia de stiinte agricole si silvice, Bucuresti (Romania))
The paper presents the role of organic matter as a means for soil fertility improvement and its efficiency in controlling the physico-mechanical structure of nutrients supply and the edaphic microbiocoenoses. The following aspects are also described: the essential role of manure in maintaining the humus content in the soil, as well as manure storing methods, fermentation and application in the field. The paper also shows the superiority of fresh manure application, as an energetic basal dressing for optimizing the physico-mechanical and biological structure of the soil and as a carbon dioxid source for plants photosynthesis, which finally ensure high yields
