Analysis of the drying process of corn cobs in deep beds

Assuming some simplifications and empirical formulas, based on the balance of energy and mass, empirical mathematical models for the n-layer of the bed in a column-type dryer have been developed. The models enable calculations of four parameters: temperature and moisture contents of cobs and those of drying agent, as time functions. Verification of the model, carried out on a special measuring stand, proved suitable conformity of the experimental and calculated points
