Body conformation is poorer in dairy breed of goats bred in hilly-mountainous regions (SFRY) than in original goats in their native country. Their body weight is by 25% and shoulder height by 10% lower. The average milk production of the Saanen goat in the region around Benkovac (SFRY) is 218.17 l over 151 lactation day. Milk production of the Saanen goat in the region of Rovinj (SFRY)1581 is 293 l over 215 lactation days and that of the Fawn goats 264.14 l over 207 lactation days.
