Damping-off in eucalyptus seedlings in Hammam El-Alil, Mosul, Iraq during late spring (1984) was caused by Fusarium exysporum Schlecht., Macrophomina phaseolina Tassi, and Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn. (four isolates). M. phaseolina was the most pathogenic followed by R. solani (isolate-2). Benlate, 0.1 a.i/L soil drenching was effective against damping-off losses. On PDA, Trichoderma viride Pers, ex. fr. stopped the growth of all pathogenic fungi tested in culture, however, in glass house proved to be effective against M. phaseolina and R. solani
