In Kirchvers, Lahn-Dill-region (FRG), vegetational surveys were taken on weed communities of corn fields in 1987. Also the topsoils of 172 sites were analyzed with physical field techniques and chemical methods. The parameter of soil showing the greatest effect on the number of species and the number of endangered species was the soil moisture in spring.
