Attitude of East Java consumers in fresh fish consumption

Studies on consumer attitude in fresh fish consumption have been carried out in East Java. Consumer's response toward taste, nutritive value, cooking technique, price etc. were collected and analyzed, and compared to responses to other substitutes of animal protein source especially meat, eggs and poultry. The data was then analyzed using rating scale technique. The result showed that people in East Java usually eat fresh fish less than any other animal protein sources particularly those who live in hinterland areas.
